Mission

The SURGE Lab (Studies in Unity, Research, Growth, and Equity) is committed to advancing health equity for Pacific Islander communities through rigorous clinical research, data-driven insights, and policy advocacy. Our mission is to address health disparities by conducting innovative research that directly informs patient outcomes and shapes healthcare practices and policies. We aim to strengthen the structural capacity of healthcare systems to deliver culturally competent and equitable care, while empowering Pacific Islander communities to be active participants in the research and policy processes that impact their health. By leveraging evidence-based strategies, the SURGE Lab works to drive systemic change, improve access to care, and promote long-term health and wellness for Pacific Islander populations.
